Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapy (OT) is crucial for stroke survivors for various reasons. A stroke occurs when blood flow to an area of the brain is cut off, and when brain cells are deprived of oxygen, they begin to die. This can lead to a loss of abilities controlled by that area of the brain, including speech, movement, and memory, depending on the stroke’s location, type, and severity.
